What are the input voltages available on Valvcon electric actuators?

115 VAC, 230 VAC, 24 VAC, 12 VDC, and 24 VDC.  All Valvcon AC actuators are designed for single phase service.

How much current do Valvcon actuators draw?

The amperage rating for each actuator varies.  Check each product brochure for detailed information.

Can Valvcon electric actuators operate safely at 50Hz?

Yes, Valvcon actuators are designed to operate safely and reliably at either 60Hz or 50Hz.

How does 50 Hz operation affect Valvcon electric actuators?

The operating specifications and information provided for Valvcon actuators are stated for operation at 60 Hz.   When operating at 50 Hz, the cycle time of the actuator increases approximately 15% (gets slower).  Duty cycle must be reduced by approximately 15% to increase the rest time necessary.  Operation at 50Hz most often applies to international 230VAC systems.
