What type switches are used in Valvcon electric actuators?
Honeywell, miniature, lever operated snap-acting, SPDT (single pole, double throw) rated for 10 amps, 1/3 hp, 125VAC/230VAC
How many limit switches and cams come standard with each actuator?
Two.
For what are the two standard switches used?
Each switch controls one end of travel of the actuator cycle. One switch controls the clockwise direction travel stop and the other controls the counter-clockwise end of travel. The two standard switches can also be used for end of travel position indication (max 0.25 amps).
How many additional switches can be added (factory or field installable)?
V Series - 2
ADC Series - 2
LCR Series - 2
LCU Series - 2
ESR Series - 2
What are the typical uses for extra switches?
Position indication, tying in (interlocking) with other devices (i.e. turning on a light, sounding an alarm, output to a PLC, etc.
